Deals in renewable energy, financial services, healthcare and infrastructure will dominate local mergers and acquisitions in 2018, as buyers take advantage of capital availability and strategic opportunities.
That is the view of law firm Herbert Smith Freehills and forms part of its fifth annual Asia Pacific M&A Review. Across the region, the firm also tips strong activity in the technology sector, a rebound in outbound acquisitions by Chinese companies and enterprises and expects “cashed up” private equity players to buoy activity.
